Susi Baylor Eichhorst
Susi was a fixture at Corrales Elementary, where her children attended school, and she served as the director of Corrales Community Education (CCE) from its inception in 1979 until her passing. She was proud that CCE provided a safe learning environment through numerous community classes, including PeeWees (preschool), summer recreation, and before-and-after-care, to the community she loved.

Susi was "Mama Susi" to many of her Corrales 'kids," whom she took in as family and cherished with unconditional love, no matter what. It takes a Village to raise a child, or maybe just a Susi to raise a village.
​
There will never be another Susi. She is missed by all, now and forever.

Corrales Community Education is an established 501(c)3 nonprofit. CCE was originally founded by school staff, PTA members, and Corrales community members, under the direction of Albuquerque Public Schools, in 1979 to promote lifelong learning in the community. Our program variety has become more focused over the years and now concentrates on the education, safety, recreation, and support of preschool and elementary aged children, but our mission continues to be establishing a love for lifelong learning.
We strive to support our community, school, and children in everything we do and are proud to see the generations of children we have supported become valuable members of their communities.
